What is Course Coach?

Course Coach is your built-in AI-powered study assistant available in CourseConnect and ExamPrepConnect. It provides instant, course-specific answers, topic summaries, and practice questions to help you stay on track and reinforce your learning—available anytime, right within your course.

How do I access it?

Click or tap the blue ✨ icon in the lower-right corner of your screen to open Course Coach.

Where can I use it?

Course Coach is available throughout your course, except during quizzes and exams.

What can Course Coach help me with?

The Course Coach can:

• Answer questions about course content
• Explain complex or unfamiliar concepts
• Provide real-world examples
• Quiz you with generated practice questions
• Summarize key content in your course

If you're unsure where to start, just ask a question based on what you're reading or studying.

How do I get the best results?

• Be specific. Clear questions get better answers.
  Example: “What are the symptoms of major depressive disorder?” is better than “Explain this.”
• Include context. Mention where you are in the course to help the Coach respond accurately.
  Example: “In the chapter on AI, I don’t understand the difference between supervised and unsupervised learning. Can you clarify?”
• Use numbers. When shown options, type the number of your selection.
• Start fresh. Use the + icon to begin a new chat when switching topics
• Follow up. Don’t hesitate to ask for more detail or clarification.
  Example: “Can you explain step 2 again in simpler terms?”
• Test Yourself: Use the Course Coach to generate practice questions or quiz you on specific topics.
  Example: “Can you give me a multiple-choice question on the last lesson?”

What should I do if the Course Coach doesn’t give a helpful response?

Try rephrasing your question, adding more detail, or asking about a different part of the topic. You can also ask for a summary or a practice question instead. Use the thumbs up/down icons to rate the response — your feedback directly helps us improve the tool.

Can I ask general questions not related to my course?

Course Coach is designed to answer questions based strictly on your course material. It won’t provide responses to questions outside that scope. This focus ensures the answers you receive are accurate, vetted, and relevant—helping you avoid misinformation or off-topic results.

Is my data or chat history saved?

Course Coach may retain anonymized interaction data to enhance performance and accuracy—but does not store personal information or use it for marketing. All processing is governed under strict privacy and security standards.

Who is participating in this pilot?

We’ve selected a small group of our most engaged learners using key ExamPrepConnect and CourseConnect products. This is part of a limited pilot to ensure the AI Tutor meets your needs before wider rollout.

Can I share screenshots or talk about this online?

Since this is in Beta, we ask that you keep your experience private for now. Please don’t post screenshots or discuss the tool publicly until we’ve completed testing and made it available to a broader audience.
