Job Opening: Senior Director, Business Solutions
The Senior Director, Business Solutions is a pivotal new leadership role responsible for developing and executing a company-wide strategy for integrated business systems. This role oversees the implementation, integration, ongoing management, and support of a comprehensive suite of enterprise solutions, including content and title management, accounting and finance, order management and customer service, CRM, data management, and the company’s managed IT service provider and helpdesk. The Senior Director will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that align with business goals and operational needs. This individual will also lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes, while championing a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. The Business Solutions team currently includes four staff members in addition to this position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop the strategy and roadmap for an integrated suite of business solutions that meet the evolving needs of a digital education and exam preparation company
- Play a key role in strategic planning for enterprise information services, managing scalable technological roadmaps and aligned budgets
- Partner with the CIO and executive leadership to evaluate emerging technologies and lead the selection of transformative enterprise solutions
- Provide overall leadership and budget oversight for enterprise systems integration and implementation efforts
- Lead and develop the business solutions team, taking full ownership of application performance, availability, and support
- Identify and implement innovative enterprise solutions and enhancements to existing systems that advance business priorities
- Collaborate across departments to prioritize and oversee the execution of high-impact system development and enhancement initiatives
- Oversee vendor relationships and development partners to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, performance goals, and system sustainability
- Serve as a visible champion of business systems, driving adoption, engagement, and a culture of digital innovation across the organization
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide system implementations and integrations, with a strong track record in API development and cross-platform connectivity.
- Experience with content management, and ERP solutions is required
- Demonstrated passion for leveraging emerging technologies and enterprise solutions to advance business objectives and drive innovation
- Strong track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional projects with disciplined project management and execution skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Background in publishing or media technology is strongly preferred, with an understanding of industry-specific systems and challenges
- Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise technology, systems integration, and strategic IT leadership
Physical requirements
- This position may require occasional travel and the ability to drive and fly to destinations as required.
