We just got back from the very successful American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) 27th National Conference, June 20-24, in Orlando, FL.
According to conference organizers, the conference had over 4,300 registered attendees, with approximately 71% specializing in Family Nurse Practice, followed by 21% in Adult Nurse Practice, with 64% having 0-5 years in practice. The majority of attendees were nurse practitioners in clinical practice, 78%, followed by a distant 15% of NP faculty, and 7% researchers.
Several of our authors were in attendance, such as Jacqueline Rhoads (speaker), Mimi Secor (speaker), and Theresa Campo. We were pleased to receive such positive feedback on the "nature" of our books, specifically those that are targeted to meet specific discipline course and clinical needs.
AANP is the largest, full-service national professional membership organization created for Nurse Practitioners of all specialties. Join us next year for the AANP 28th National Conference, June 19-23, 2013 at The Venetian® and The Palazzo® & Sands® Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
