(NEW YORK, NY) – May 5, 2015 - Springer Publishing Company, an innovative publisher of nursing books, journals and apps, will celebrate the American Nursing Association’s National Nurses Week, running May 6-12, 2015, with a series of events centered around the theme “Ethical Practice. Quality Care.”

On Wednesday, May 6, and Thursday, May 7, Springer Publishing staff will be taking a Florence Nightingale cutout around New York City.  Passers-by will have the opportunity to take a photo with Florence and to record video testimonials about how the outstanding care provided by nurses has made a difference in their lives.

  • 10:30 - 11:30 AM: Times Square, 42nd St. (between Broadway and 7th Avenue)

Thursday, May 7

  • 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM: Rockefeller Center

  • 10:30 - 11:30 AM: Central Park (59th St, by USS Maine Monument)

On its SpringBoard blog, Springer Publishing will be collecting and sharing stories from nurses about occasions when their colleagues set an exemplary standard of care, as well as stories from their friends, family, and patients about how nurses have changed their lives. These stories will be published and shared on social media, including Facebook, Twitter (@springerpub), and Instagram.
