MedsMilk is an annual subscription with 3 different subscription types available:

Subscription

Type Description
Group Practice

A Group Practice subscription provides access for multiple individual users in a Group Practice such as a Lactation Consultation Group. A Group Practice is defined at the practice of medicine by a group of medical professionals who share the premises and other resources. A valid user name and email address is required for each individual user. Individual user accounts cannot be shared or be used by a group to access the subscription. Generic user names and email addresses will not be accepted for Group Practice accounts such as user1@group.com, user2@group.com. A Group Practice Administrator email address is required for this subscription.

Site (formerly Institution)

A Site subscription provides access to your Organization's site without the need to enter a username and password. Access is provided to your Site by IP authentication. Users are granted automatic access when they visit the subscription site. Users can also remotely access the subscription if they are connected to your Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Site subscriptions are designed for Pharmacies, Libraries, Hospitals, State Agencies, Military, etc. Every location is considered a separate “Site”. For example, if a hospital has locations in 4 cities or buildings in different regions of towns, each location would be considered a “Site”. A Site Administer email address is required for this subscription as well as your IP addresses/range(s).

About The Author(s) 

Thomas W. Hale, RPh, PhD is a Professor of Pediatrics at Texas Tech University School of Medicine, the Executive Director of the InfantRisk Center and Associate Dean of Research. Dr. Hale is considered one of the foremost leading experts in the field of perinatal pharmacology and the use of medications.

Dr. Hilary Rowe is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Canada. She obtained her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees at the University of British Columbia and completed her hospital residency with the Vancouver Island Health Authority in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Dr. Rowe started working on Medications & Mothers’ Milk in 2012; she is excited to be part of this product and is passionate about providing evidence-based information to women regarding the suitability of medications in lactation.
